Aunt Snap

"Snappy Aunt"
"Aunt Snappy"
"Snaptastic Auntabulous"

I'm thinkin' they'll probably change my name to one of these before too long.
Or maybe they will just think the camera is a permanent fixture on my face.

"Some people wear glasses, Aunt Snap wears a Nikon."

"We don't really know what she looks like without it.
But we love her anyway."
(I hope they add in the last part)

Second installment.. as promised...

Yipppee!!
More bows! More dresses! More polka dots and pink!
More pretty little faces to capture. I can't wait!! :)

I sure did have a ball capturing these sweet little faces.
The lighting wasn't perfect, but the smiles were... see...

More Beach Traffic...

Susie's parents live at the beach... so we were a pit stop between Spartanburg and the beach.

The girls stayed a couple of days and we had so.much.fun!!!
Stay tuned for pics from our little photoshoot at the beautiful
Hartsville Kalmia Gardens.

The three cuties had a ball playing with these huge punch balloons. I wish the pic was a little more clear, but it was nighttime and they were RUNNING and JUMPING and PUNCHING everywhere, so this was the best I got... there was a lot of excitement in the room!
This is about two seconds after they arrived:

"Cousins...giant balloons... can it get any better than this?!"

Can you see the expressions on these little faces?
Sheer Joy. Delight. Exuberance. Preciousness.

We read. We love to read. But after a few pages, Benson is usually DONE. One of the bazillion things I love about the girls is that I don't think they would EVER tire of reading book after book after book.
Yet another good reason to borrow them every once in while...
Peer pressure for Benson to SIT STILL. :)

I don't even need to say what I'm thinking here...

I was rifling through pics from a while back looking for this one for comparison purposes... and I just realized....

This one was taken on April 1, 2008
and the one below was taken on April 1, 2010.

What are the odds?! Same date, EXACTLY two years apart!

What a wonderful two years it has been,
watching these two grow in size and love ☺

This moment makes me feel like I'm at camp again.
I love camp. And I love bedtime stories. And I love these people...
There's a lot of love here...

Snug as a bug!
They slept like this all night long!

And I wanted to call Him Grandpa Joe and her Grandma Josephine.

Name that movie...

GO!!

Bec.in.the.ville

I feel like that could be the name of some new reality TV show or something.

Bec.in.the.ville.

I'd Ti-Vo it, for sure.

Among our other shenanigans,
We went to the little Hartsville twin cinemas while bec was in town..
It's only two dollars to go! And they play new movies. And have great popcorn!
Yet another totally cool little nook in the 'ville.
Our reality TV show would regularly film segments here.

The lighting outside was so pretty, so of course we snapped some snaps. I love how the coloring turned out.
Those blue eyes don't hurt though...
oh how I long for a blue-eyed itty bitty to call my own.
I guess this one's close enough... we'll claim 'er. :)

Although, I must say, I wouldn't change one thing about this little itty bitty.

Benson loves him some Bec.in.the.ville
:)

Benson's love for his Aunt Becca goes way back... if you weren't reading the blog a year and a half ago (when he was 17 months old), you may have missed this video...
I have to say it's one of my all time favs :)

We now resume our regularly scheduled blogging...

Sorry for the little hiatus.

I was packing to go out of the country for seven days. But now that that's out the window, I'm back to posting.

Did ya miss me ? :)

Here's the rest of the pics from Will's third birthday party.. ok, not ALL of the rest, as the 800- some odd pics I took would probably bog the blog a bit, but these are some of the highlights.

And I suggest that you press play and listen to Fields of Gold by Sting as you peruse this particular blog.

It's only fitting. :)

Look mom! No hands! Ahh!!!

There's something about this pic... it was such a sweet lil moment :)

Here goes B again, with his "natural" posing...
I don't think he thinks I'm going to share these pics when he's posing for them. :)
But they just make me laugh...

As does this moment...
when he started frolicking in the Fields of Gold...
and happened upon a briar patch...
do please click to enlarge if you wish to see the excruciating detail of his face...

I love my husband and his crazy sense of humor.
Even though it often results in pain on his part. :)

One cutie on the tractor...

Two cuties on the four wheeler...

Three cuties on the golf cart...

** as an aside...
its tough to pull off a three year old birthday party in which ALL ages have fun...
this one was perfect :) **

We love Uncle JO! :)

I mean really... so cute :)

And I'll leave you with a quiet moment that was totally not indicative of the actual climate of the party, but was a sweet (and quick) snap none-the-less. :)

One week from today... we were supposed to be....

here...

but because of this....

We won't. How sad. :(

They did reschedule our trip for late summer, so that's a blessing..

Maybe the Lord knew that I needed just a little more time to mentally prepare for leaving Benson for a whole week. :) So he thought it would be a great time to have a huge Icelandic volcanic explosion that haulted European air travel.
Yeah. That's it.

Will's Third Birthday Party

This 'lil punkin' just turned three!
I remember the moment he came into the world three years ago,
and in the blink of an eye, he's three! What a precious three years it has been!!

His cousins took this opportunity to practice up
for the blowing out of their own candles in the next months...

It takes practice, ya know...

This. In 12 years. Makes me shutter. :)
